Jabulani
£42,500
Jabulani, which is Zulu for happiness, is a charming 50’ semi trad built in 1993 by M&N Narrowboats and fitted out by Shipley Bridge Marina. The last survey on her was in April 2019 and she was last blacked in December 2023.
The well deck is a good size and has a cratch cover over. The stainless steel 450 litre water tank is underneath and there are bench seats with storage underneath either side. A Candy washing machine is currently housed here, but could be moved inside fairly easily.
Steps lead down into the saloon. This is over 12’ long and has a Morso solid fuel stove, 2 captains chairs, and a small chest of drawers. There is a JVC TV / DVD combo, and also a freesat box with self seeking satellite dome. For further storage there is a cupboard and also a fold down table on the wall.
The galley is 6’9” long. There is a 12v LEC fridge, a sink with draining board, and a Vanette 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill. There is plenty of storage in the various cupboards, and a side hatch adds light and air.
The bathroom is next. The shower is a tiled cubicle with a curtain, and the loo is a Porta Potti (with spare cassette). The basin is plastic counter sunk. There is a twin tub washing machine in the cupboard next to the shower.
The bedroom is in the rear cabin. A spacious room at 9’ long, the fixed double bed measures at 6’3” x 4’0” and has storage under and cupboards over. There is a wardrobe at the foot of the bed with a corner cupboard opposite.
Steps lead up to the semi trad stern deck (the Alde boiler is next to the steps). The engine is under the deckboards. This is a well maintained Beta 1505, and there are storage lockers either side which also provide seating. There is a tonneau cover for the rear deck.
12v comes from the bank of 3 110ah domestic batteries, topped up by 300w of solar with an Epever solar charge controller. 230v is from the Sterling 1500w inverter or landline connection with a galvanic isolator installed.
All the lights are LED.
Central heating is from an Alde gas boiler and and this, along with the engine, also heats the hot water.
She is a lovely, uncomplicated boat and will make a lovely floating home or holiday boat.
